Took a trip down to Florida over the weekend. Mom and I had a little escape weekend. Disney World, Cypress Gardens, and a Charley Pride concert.
Even after all these years, EPCOT remains one of my most favorite parks. I rode two new rides - Mission Space and Soarin'.
Soarin' is absolutely amazing. It's one of those experiences where, as you are exiting the ride, you're saying to your companion, "Let's do that again!" I highly recommend, however, that you tackle the ride during extended park hours while the fireworks show is happening in World Showcase... otherwise, expect a long wait. Luckily for us, the sign said 40 minutes, but we were on the ride in 5 minutes.
For Mission Space, I took the FastPass and chose the version of the ride without the spins. Yeah - me and consecutive spins - not a good combo.
At Cypress Gardens, Mom actually rode 4 roller coasters with me. There's a new wood one opening in the summer - can't wait to ride it!
My favorite ever Disney movie is the 1973 animated Robin Hood. And guess who I saw on the way into Animal Kingdon (where Expedition Everest was closed)? Friar Tuck!!! I have never ever seen any of the Robin Hood characters out and about in the park - even when I worked there. Check him out below!
